I was browsing the net for some inspirations. Then i came across NGA's BRUSHster. It's awesome. So i played around with the brushes available there and get that brush strokes (above). I saved the picture and import it into photoshop CS4 and i begin my editting.

GRUMPITCH -

A very grumpy villain. :D

This particular piece is done with no plans, no idea brainstorming at all. It all started with lines scribbling. I was again bored in Digital Matte Painting class because my Maya file was not working. Hence, i decided to start scribbling and then the idea of creating weird looking character pop up. So i just do a rough sketch and continue drawing and drawing.

At the end of it i got fig 1 (the sketch). And then i decided to colour it. I chose purple because in fairytales, villains are always related to the colour purple. So Grumpitch is suppose to be a villain.

A fruit a day keeps the doctor away

Fruits. I love fruits. Trust me they sell plenty of them at Batam. All sorts of fruits (well at least). And this is just few common ones that we can get it back home.

Sweet&Sour treats

Taken during my Batam trip. I was attracted by the contrasting colours of green and orange displayed on the table of one of the stall at the bazaar somewhere in Batam. Everything were displayed nicely and accordingly. I love this stall.

PS: And everything is a mixture of Sweet and Sour taste. (: Nice.

Grand Turismo (Virtual Camera)

Boyfriend was playing Grand Turismo 5 (PS3). He told me that we can take pictures of the cars in the game. I got excited. I told him, "but i didn't bring my camera along with me." (Yeah, dumb right? Haha). So he told me, "Virtual camera lahh." He then allowed me to snap photos of the cars in the game.

I chose Jaguar XKR Coupe '10.

I was confused with my digital matte painting lecturer. Hence, i painted this. Happy elephant i called it. This is a fast, chop chop painting.

Part of my Motion Graphics module assignment. A group assignment. There are 5 members in my group. I was assigned to be the in-charge of the art department. So technically i do all the art stuff.

My Past

Okay. I was halfway through my assignment, when i said i had enough of my assignment and i need to paint. :) ! So i painted this fast.

My Past;

Years have gone by. But the darkest part of my life remains. And that is my past. My past were full of darkness and black memories. It was almost dark that i could not find my way out. But one day as i was struggling to get myself out from all this dark emotions, someone came to me and take my hand and pull me out. Now, life is no longer black and dark.

That's why this painting which is full of black and dark brush strokes represents my past. And the little white spaces i had in between the black and dark strokes represents the struggles i'm facing to get out of my past.

Alone

Painted digitally. It took me less than a 10 minutes to paint this. I was bored during my digital matte painting class. So i decided to paint this instead.

Alone;

I can have everything i need. I can have as many friends as i can. The real truth is i will be alone sometimes because i need time for myself and that is when nothing else matters. Nothing, even the people around me that i care about.
